Adept Materials Launches Lilypad™, Advancing Passive Moisture Control in Buildings
Providence, R.I. — 2.12.2026 — RightHill Ventures portfolio company Adept Materials has launched Lilypad™, a humidity-regulating paint system designed to help buildings passively manage indoor moisture.
RightHill Ventures first invested in Adept Materials in 2023, supporting the company as it moved from technical development toward commercialization.
Lilypad absorbs and releases water vapor in response to changing conditions, helping smooth humidity fluctuations without adding complexity or energy demand. The system combines a moisture-buffering paint with a specialized primer that enables vapor flow while protecting the wall assembly.
The launch represents a key step in bringing a new category of functional building materials to market, with the potential to improve indoor air quality and reduce moisture-related issues at scale.
